The CCLC is the ideal place for life-long learners and those who have skills to share.

Since its inception in 1999, the Cobscook Community Learning Center (CCLC) has brought people in Washington County together to learn, teach and lead. Any opportunity can present itself as a learning experience. Creating Rice Hall on campus became a workshop in timberframe construction. A dry stonewall class created the base for the sign at the end of the CCLC driveway. A history class with the students from the Cobscook Experiential Program expanded into an investigation of a local Revolutionary War figure which grew into a video written, directed and produced by the students with the help of people from the local theater community.

Teach

At the Cobscook Community Learning Center (CCLC) we strive to develop courses that embody our mission: To create responsive educational opportunities that strengthen personal, community, and global well-being.

We seek qualified, enthusiastic instructors who are passionate about their topic and wish to share their knowledge and experience.

If you have a course you would like to teach or develop for the CCLC, please fill out the online Proposal Form below.

Volunteer

Why volunteer?

We need your help! Each year, dozens of volunteers like yourself offer their time, resources, and talents to support the CCLC. This support allows us to continue to provide fun, educational programs and events to Washington County.

Make a difference in your community!

Join us in maintaining and building this vibrant learning center, where we work hard to offer a variety of classes, events, and opportunities to a largely underserved area. You will enjoy the camaraderie of working with others and the satisfaction of knowing your efforts are making a difference in Washington County. Hours of volunteer work can also be traded for hours of courses at the CCLC.

If you have some time, come spend it with us!
