Sebastian Teunissen.jpeg

Sebastian comes to CCLC with experience in many sectors. He has worked in government, academe, the private sector and with non-profit organizations. Most recently, Sebastian served as Managing Director for Solidaridad, a global non-governmental organization focused on enhancing the sustainability of smallholder agriculture around the world.

His academic experience includes business faculty positions at the University of California, Berkeley, Duke University, and at the University of Guelph in Canada, where he still holds an adjunct professorship. Sebastian’s international experience includes time as a senior official in the Department of Finance of the government of Papua New Guinea; as general manager of a company in Japan; and has taught at universities in Australia, Chile, and Hungary.

Some years ago, during a visit Downeast, Sebastian discovered a deep connection with the region and eventually bought a home on Campobello Island. Since then, he has become increasingly involved in the local community. He is excited about bringing this passion to CCLC, building on its history and contributions, and collaborating with CCLC’s board, staff and partners to bring CCLC forward into its next chapter.
