The TREE Associate is a 0.75 FTE position with the Cobscook Community Learning Center (CCLC) that fulfills an essential role in program delivery, administrative function, communications, research, and coordination of activities associated with the TREE: Transforming Rural Experience in Education program. The TREE Associated serves under direction of the TREE Director.
Roles and Responsibilities:
a. Prepare and submit requisitions.
b. Serve as initial contact with Finance in support of tracking and maintaining TREE finances and serving in support of the TREE Director and TREE Resource Coaches.
c. Review and Track TREE budget with TREE Director in order to be informed, aware, and supportive of TREE operations for the TREE Director
d. Prepare invoices for contractor fees, including speakers and presenters, and follow-up with mileage and other reimbursement requests,
2. Events, Workshops, Conferences, Gatherings & Trainings:
a. Coordinate logistics associated with all TREE events including:
i. Food, lodging, travel, securing and arranging meeting spaces/venues
ii. Ensuring proper room/facility set up, technology, materials, supplies, and other details are in place
1. Materials includes: purchasing pens, training folders, and giveaways as needed; drafting agendas and evaluation forms, copying handouts and other printed material; stuffing folders or arranging for help during large events; preparing name badges, signs, sign-in sheets
iii. Promoting events on website, emails, flyers, postcards, press releases, and at meetings; contact media to cover event or help promote
iv. Sending meeting announcements and extending invitations
v. Maintaining lists of contacts and participants
vi. Operating with established and agreed upon event budgets
vii. Overseeing all communications and correspondence associated with events
Program Direct Supports:
Providing extra support for TREE school-related activities
Providing supports to individual or small groups of students, as needed
4. Research Support:
a. Helping to gather or assemble data
b. Collating, entering, or preparing data into formats in support of the RPPT’s ongoing research
Taking notes during meetings and facilitating when necessary
Typing up notes for review and approval, finalizing, and disseminating as called for
Maintaining division electronic and material files and materials
Coordinate meetings, logistics, and activities of TREE
Maintain annotated database of all TREE affiliates and program and PD participants and ensure data is incorporated into larger CCLC database.
Other responsibilities may be assigned to meet TREE’s emerging needs.
This position is supervised by the TREE Director. The TREE Associate does not supervise any other employees.
Performance will be evaluated yearly by TREE Director.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Machines, tools and equipment used:
Multi-line telephone, photocopy machine, computer, fax machine, scanner, digital camera. Some work-related driving of students and/or adults may be required.
General office and school environments. Upon arrangement with TREE Director, some work may be done at home. There is indoor and outdoor work with TREE programming in our partner schools associated with this position.
Requires extended periods of time sitting and/or standing. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs, such as files, food pantry supplies, cases of photocopy paper, etc.
