Amy Meehan is a native Mainer and has been a Wildlife Biologist with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife since 1999. She has wildlife degrees from the University of Maine and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University; her Master's Degree project focused on Blue-Headed Vireos. She has previously worked for Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences on a forest songbird project in the Greenville area. At IF&W, Amy has worked with almost every variety of bird, as well as working on the Lynx project and doing lots of spatial analysis and computer mapping, including for the 2nd Maine Breeding Bird Atlas. She also enjoys wildlife photography and travel, especially to Ireland.
