The CCLC houses an education, ecology and activism lending library with over a thousand volumes of books, plus CD’s and videos, available for use by
community members. A wide array of selections is included, shelved under categories such as:
- Locally-specific nature field guides
- Environmental literature
- Social justice movements
- Maine and Canadian Maritimes Folklore and History
- Passamaquoddy and Native American History and Issues
- Homeschooling Resources
- Educational Philosophies, Pedagogy, and Critique
- Folk Music – Biographies, Sheet Music, and Instructional Guides
- Traditional Crafts – Fiber Arts, Black Smithing, and More
- Fine Arts – Ceramics, Painting, Photography and More
- Outdoor Activities
The library shares the same room as our computer/internet lab, and is open during regular CCLC hours. Community members are welcome to borrow library items for up to a month at a time. Stop in any time to peruse the wonderful selection in the library. And, we welcome donations and suggestions of media to include in the library.
