Kathy Stanwood with the Washington County 4-H will offer a babysitting course at the Cobscook Community Learning Center. This six hour class is scheduled for Monday June 18 from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm. Topics covered will include how to work with infants and toddlers, dealing with emergencies, basic first aid, games and activities for older children, healthy snacks, staying safe, and tricks of the successful babysitter. This course is designed for students ages 12 and up. The fee for the class is $15, and all participants will receive a certificate of completion and a canvas bag filled with babysitting resources. The class will take place at the CCLC, located at 10 Commissary Point Road in Trescott. Please call 733-2233 by June 15 to register or for more information.
