yet. We have committed to have a good representation of CCLC members, family,

conversation will be held at the Friedman Lab on Friday evening the 25th from

work day to burn and clear brush, cut up fire wood, and make the land that we
purchased on the Commissary Point Road in Trescott more user friendly. The Office
Administrators will coordinate. Permits and Fire Protection will be secured.
(Note: The date for this work party has been changed from Saturday, April 19th
to Sunday, April 27, 2003. Please contact Carly or Rachel who will be helping
with organizing the event)
WaCo Chamber of Commerce: The CCLC has
been invited to join, $50 membership. Bill suggests that it is a good thing
to join. It is agreed that we will join.
Harvest Barter Fair: Rachel and Carly
are seeking $2000 through Maine Initiatives Harvest Fund to organize and implement
the event. It is to be held at Tide Mill Farm. See details in handout or call
Rachel or Carly. Has the potential for a large fair, similar to the Common Ground
Fair. It is alignment with the CCLC’s mission, vision, and values. Several
questions were raised concerning important logistics-liability, food, permitting,
sales, licensing issues. Bill has agreed to consult with Carly and Rachel. Contracts
and details need to be established.
Dute’s Work: A series of workshops
related to the language immersion work. He has been working with young people
aged K - 4 as the interim Culture and Language Instructor for Beatrice Rafferty.
Consensus: Conversation. We need to
deepen into this large piece of our work. Handouts were given as an educational,
introductory piece of information. A full meeting devoted to the consensus process
needs to be scheduled.
War related email: Thoughts and discussion.
Members of the Core Group have asked not to receive emails related to the war.
Please do not use the CCLC Core Group email list with sending on or out this
information. Do set up a separate email roster and keep those communications
flowing to folks who want them. Alan will set up a modified email list for people
interested in receiving and sharing information related to war, politics and
peace.
Website: Kevin gave an update of the
site, please visit it frequently and give Kevin feedback. www.thecclc.org The
Cobbie Journal is up and running and can be accessed under news from the homepage.
The password for all categories is (email me for the password). This is a piece of the website
that is for core group members to post messages, pictures, thoughts, inspirations,
etc. It is a unique and creative tool for members to use. Check it out. Contact
Kevin if you have any questions.
Closure: 8:00 signaled the end of the
meeting. Many items on the agenda were not covered in the time and detail they
needed. We will try to work to condense the agenda into attainable meeting goals
as well as facilitate and keep time at the meetings.
CCLC Meeting Day is, once again, looking for
a "home" on the monthly calendar. We have tried the 4th Monday and
is is turning out to be a challenge. Holding it the same night as the regularly
scheduled music night crimps both the CCLC meeting and the music night. Carly
and Rachel will be calling members to making yet one more change.
Peace.
