The Adrians

The Adrians are a four piece band from the
Central Maine area. Adrian Drost Sr. and
Adrian Drost Jr.started singing together in the
garage after business hours just a few years
ago. At the end of the day, they would put
away their wrenches, clean up, and take out
their guitars. Friends and customers alike
would gather around to hear them sing and
play the traditional country tunes they loved.

The Black Socks String Band

 
The highlight of the musical gathering will be old time and celtic tunes by Washington County’s sensational Black Socks String Band. On Sunday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 an open jam session will be held in the music tent with members of the Black Socks String Band leading the circle. This is a rare opportunity to play with some of New England’s premier musicians, and anyone with an instrument is welcome to join the gathering.

Jim Gallant

The art of folk guitar is amongst the most beautiful and challenging styles in modern music and New Gloucester's Jim Gallant ranks among some of the finest tunesmith's in the Northeast. His unique, eloquent blending of New Age, classical, Celtic and Kottke-esque fingerpicking has earned him stage time alongside such greats as Taj Mahal, Doc Watson and The New Grass Revival in addition to the inclusion of his music on a Christmas album for LL Bean. His latest LP, River Watch, is a lovely continuation of Gallant's proficiency in his art.

The Muellers

While Curt Mueller has been playing banjo back as far as anyone can remember, the band gradually came together as the children learned to play various stringed instruments. One day Curt brought home a doghouse bass as a gift for Karen and a bluegrass band was born. The band has a devoted and rapidly expanding following, and creates a wake of excitement at every performance venue, large or small. The Muellers have developed a real reputation for putting a lot of musical bang into what they love to do, right down to the youngest Mueller, George, who began performing at the ripe old age of eighteen months!

Traditional bluegrass favorites and gospel songs are a mainstay of their performances, but as the children's musical talents and tastes develop, a bent for contemporary bluegrass is beginning to show. You can expect an exciting mix of music that really showcases the young talent, both with their instruments and harmony singing with that special family blend.
