Sandip Burnam, a native of Durgapur, India, has shared the stage with many foremost Indian musicians, including famous sitar master Ravi Shankar.  Recently, Sandip has collaborated and toured with Bela Fleck and appears as a guest artist on the Flecktone's new Grammy award-winning album Outbound. Always in search of new challenges, Sandip worked with Danny Elfman and contributed to the soundtrack of Tim Burton's film, Mars Attacks. He has been a visiting faculty member at the Rotterdam Conservatory in Holland, and has toured and taught in the United States, Europe, Mexico, North Africa, Israel, and Canada.

Sandip’s performance at the Cobscook Community Learning Center marks the easternmost stop in his Fall 2007 tour.  This is a unique opportunity to interact with a master of Indian music.  Only seventy tickets are available for this performance, and those interested are encouraged to call in advance.  Those interested can learn more about Sandip Burman from his website, www.sandipburman.com
