CCLC Course Enrollment Policy

Registering for a Course
You can register for any CCLC program online, over the phone, through the mail, or in person at the Center during daytime office hours.  Your place will be reserved once your registration information and payment (or scholarship information) is received.  One week prior to the start of a course, CCLC staff will contact you via phone or mail as a reminder.

Registration Deadline
The registration deadline for CCLC courses is two weeks prior to the start of a course unless otherwise stated.  After this point, courses with insufficient enrollment are subject to cancellation.  If you are interested in enrolling for a course after the registration deadline, please call first to find out if space is available.  A late fee of $5 will be added to the course tuition to help the Center meet additional administrative expenses.

Course Sizes
Course sizes normally range between six and twelve participants.  We recommend that you register early for a class, both to ensure a spot and to ensure that the course is held.  A minimum of six participants is required for a class to run, and a course may be cancelled or postponed if the minimum enrollment is not met.  If a course reaches maximum enrollment, you may ask to be added to a waiting list.  CCLC staff will contact you if a space becomes available.

Payments
Course and materials fee are due by the registration deadline.  If you are registering within two weeks before the start of a course, payment is due in full at the time of registration.  The CCLC is dedicated to making its courses and programs available to all, and is happy to work with course participants to create a payment plan.  Please contact a CCLC staff member to discuss payment plan options.

Financial Assistance
The CCLC is committed to raise scholarship funds to support people’s participation in activities.  Scholarships are based solely on financial need.  You can access a scholarship form on the Center’s website, pick one up at the CCLC, or request to have one mailed to you.

Cancellation Policy and Refunds
If the CCLC must cancel a course, a full refund will be issued to all students who made payments toward that course.  If a student cancels prior to the registration deadline, a full refund will be made as well.  If a student cancels after the registration deadline, the Center will issue a refund of 50% of the course fee.  This reflects and recognizes the time and energy staff and instructors put into organizing and preparing for a course. In the event that materials were purchased especially for any course, those canceling after the registration deadline may not be eligible for a refund of the materials fee.

Non Discrimination Statement
The CCLC reflects the diversity of the people of the Cobscook region and celebrates the diversity of all people.  We do not discriminate against current or prospective participants and employees on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, religion, marital status, age, or disability.
