  • Description: Local potter Tim Christensen, of Roque Bluffs, will be offering a six-week beginning pottery class starting on May 11, and running through June 15.  The class will be appropriate for anyone wanting to start making functional and artistic pottery, or just improve on their skills.  The two and a half hour class will start with pinchpot, the oldest form of making dishes with pottery. Coil work will be covered next, followed by slab, and ending with time for exploring these methods in more detail.  As well, anyone wishing to experiment on the potters wheel will be encouraged to do so. History and technique will be discussed, but the focus will be on creation and fun.  This is a great opportunity to make pottery for yourself or as special gifts.

• Explorations in Drawing
  • Instructor: Heather Perry
  • When: Tuesday evenings from March 9th through April 27th (8 weeks) - 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
  • Registration Deadline: One week prior to start date.
  • Description: Drawing is the basic foundation from which all forms of visual art are produced. In this studio course participants will identify personal strengths, sharpen observation skills, and develop an understanding of some basic principles of design. The course is designed for beginners, but all ages and levels of ability are encouraged to attend. The only prerequisites are and open mind and a positive attitude.  Two CEU's are available to participants who need recertification credits.

  • Celebrate your body with…Beginner Belly Dance Fusion …for exercise, grace, and joy. Come learn the basic moves and rhythms of this ancient and beautiful dance. What makes belly dance special? It is a dance for all body types and all ages. It is an incredible workout that promotes flexibility and strength. It is fun. It is sensual. It makes you feel morebeautiful and graceful. And, provides you with some really good dance moves. Everyone is welcome and invited to this session. Please come join the fun.
